These are getting very large and we are starting to see some brown to the trunk of the trees. |

March 16, 2012- Avocado Tree
March 16, 2012 progress. Very soon these will be moved outside for the summer months, once it gets warmer for longer periods.
February 2012 - Avocado Tree
Last Month (February 2012), I took pictures of the avocado trees and thought it would be great to monitor the progress going forward. So, here are the pictures taken then.
The top tree is the first seed and the bottom tree is the second seed started. |

July 24, 2011 - Avocado Tree
Here is a photo I found of July 24th of one of the avocado trees. You can see here that we have two or three new leafs starting at th every top just sprouting out.
September 3, 2011 - Avocado Tree
On or around September 3, 2011, both trees were put into their own pots. (Now, we were living in a one bedroom small apartment, therefore all our plants were crammed. But, with all this said you can still grow a small garden.)
These just amazed us everyday with the growth and how much they prospered without much care after they had grown. Eventually we were only watering these plants once a week during the winter and twice a week during the summer. We did find out that they needed a ton of light and lots of heat.

Growing an Avocado Tree.................
I did not take pictures of the whole process of growing two trees from the seed. I did a ton of research online and decided to take the challenge of growing an avocado tree without starting the seeds in water. We started growing one seed, I believe, at the end of the winter of 2011. Then the second seed was planted in the same pot a few months later.
